Joy! and more Phish

Big Phish news this week!

Phish released Joy, their first studio album in five years, later this summer on JEMP Records. The record was recorded in New York City this spring with producer Steve Lillywhite. Their site says “Stay tuned for further details and pre-order information in the coming weeks! The last track, Time Turns Elastic, is available now at iTunes.”

The track listing for Joy is as follows:

2. Backwards Down the Number Line
3. Stealing Time From the Faulty Plan
4. Light
5. Joy
6. Sugar Shack
7. Ocelot
8. Kill Devil Falls
9. I Been Around
10. Time Turns Elastic

Also in Phish news, A Phish “Live Track Pack” for Guitar Hero World Tour is available for download now and features live recordings of “Sample in a Jar,” (12/1/94 Salem Armory, Salem, OR), “Down with Disease,” (12/1/95 Hershey Park Arena, Hershey, PA), and “Chalk Dust Torture,” (11/16/94 Hill Auditorium, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI as released on “A Live One”). The pack is compatible with Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii .

The Track Pack can be downloaded from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and from the PlayStation Store (where the songs are also available as singles).

In addition, Rock Band has released tracks from year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and included is “Wilson” from Phish’s Friday night set.

And last but not least – the Phab Phour added a Save the Date on their site, so that means another 3-day festival. Location TBD, but the black out dates are 10/30-11/01.
